Browsing Issues

The Jira Issues tool window lets you browse, filter, and search issues from your Jira Cloud instance.

Search Scope

Use the scope dropdown at the top of the tool window to choose which Jira instance's issues are shown. Each configured Jira instance has its own scope.

Filters

The filter bar shows a configurable set of filters. Use the All Filters action in the toolbar to access every available filter, choose which ones appear in the filter bar, and save the current combination as a reusable preset. The plugin also includes built-in presets, such as My open issues and Reported by me, and can load your saved Jira filters.

Text Filter

Type in the search field to filter issues by text. The search matches issue summaries and descriptions.

Field Filters

Additional filters let you narrow issues by Project, Issue Type, Status, Assignee, Priority, Label and others.

Custom JQL

To filter with a raw query, click Switch to JQL in the All Filters popup. This converts your current filters into an editable JQL (Jira Query Language) expression, which you can then refine. The plugin combines your JQL with the active text search automatically. While JQL Mode is on, the field filters are unavailable.

Refreshing the List

The list is loaded on demand: an issue created or updated in Jira since the last load appears only after you run Refresh Issues. Changing a filter or the scope reloads the list as well.

Context Menu

Right-click an issue in the list to open it, Open in Browser, Copy Link, or Copy ID. The menu also includes Refresh Issues and Create Issue — see Creating and Editing Issues.
